Great spot on the island and Moataz was a kind and amazing host! The bed was a little hard, but not bad.

Everything is fine, the house feels cozy and peaceful, but don’t book the Abu Simbel trip through the owner—trust the bus station and take the public bus instead.

The family was extremely friendly, helpful, and answered every question; there was a washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen, a fridge, and a kettle; the bed was hard by European standards but we found it very comfortable; it’s right next to the ferry (15 £ per ride) and very central, so I’ll return.

Mostafa is a very friendly host, always ready to help organize excursions or just guide you around Assouan; the room was clean and comfortable with a large shower and hot water; the location is very quiet, 2 minutes from the two public ferries and several restaurants; I had breakfast on site and it was delicious and plentiful.
