“The hotelier was unwilling to work. Absolutely not value for money. I regret having stayed here.”
The place is clean and the room is very spacious, and the location is good on the map, but the last 50 meters of the road are very steep—though the name “hilltop” doesn’t convey that. It’s within walking distance of the SPTC bus station, where you can catch a bus to the airport; I had a cabin‑size trolley that fit under the seat with my feet on it, but larger luggage would be harder to manage on the bus. The shower only works during certain hours because the hotel’s cistern is too small for the number of guests. The air‑conditioning was broken, and Wi‑Fi worked only downstairs, not in the room. I contacted them months before my arrival to sort everything out; they sent me some information, but the door code only arrived after I texted them while already traveling, forcing me to shout at the ground‑floor guests to get the receptionist to open the gate and welcome me—there’s no doorbell for the reception, and the receptionist is rarely at the desk. I had written months earlier for a reason and still faced these problems. The receptionist was a total slacker: when I asked for a hairdryer (which should have been in the room), he initially said he didn’t have one because he didn’t want to work, but I had to insist because my shoes got wet on the ferry and I needed them on the plane the next day. The room lacks cooking devices, so the huge space is wasted. This hotel focuses on image and presentation—flowers on the bed, for example, even though I’m allergic to pollen—rather than practical services. Breakfast was included because I’m a Genius member, but it was served very slowly. For the price, they’re totally unworthy. I regret spending one night here; it would have been better to stay in La Digue and visit Mahé on the same day of the flight, especially since I wanted to learn about the Seychelles beyond its natural beauty, but the experience in Victoria wasn’t the best.
“Bardzo dobre i świeże śniadania. Dobra lokalizacja. Miła obsługa.”
The location was good. The breakfast tasted tasty. The property needs a refresh.
“Comodo per una notte prima del volo di rientro”
Well positioned and the staff were truly kind and available. The sheets and bed were dirty and dusty. The air‑conditioner looked like a washing machine (I seriously thought there was a washing machine in the room).
I’m a bit higher up, but walking in to Viktoria is still easy. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and had everything you need.
It’s great to explore Victoria and get here. The breakfast was very nice.
