“Clean, compact and quiet cabin great for an overnight stay before flying out.”
It did the job for an overnight trip; the compact cabin is brand‑new, clean, and has a sizable deck. The bed is comfy and the place is very quiet. The basic sink and bench come with a mini fridge and a few plates, glasses, and cutlery. It could use a few extra touches like hooks for hanging towels, keeping the main door open, and a plunge pot for coffee. The black cabin color radiated heat overnight even after opening the main door to cool things off before bed—A/C was needed all night on a not terribly warm night.
“We totally enjoyed our stay and loved our own little private cabin with a gorgeous view.”
The view was amazing in a rural setting overlooking Wharangei. The place was spotless, very quiet, and private. The host was gracious and friendly, and the bed was comfortable. It would be nice to have a microwave in the little kitchen area and an outside table for eating.
“The stay was amazing super close to everything. The hosts were so attentive and welcoming and they gave me some great re”
The landscape and location were amazing, and they had cute farm animals to see and pet. It really shows they put a lot of time into making the place look beautiful. Nothing was perfect.
“If you wish for a small, quiet stay it was nice.”
The view was outstanding, very quiet and peaceful. The pod was fairly new but small. With two large suitcases it was hard to find space to open them, though we could slide them under the bed. Even then there was just enough room to walk around the bed. The bathroom was quite small but nice. We were warned that using too much water or power would incur extra charges, something we’d never heard before.
Great spot in a rural setting close to Whangarei. The accommodation is cozy, clean, and comfortable. The host family is friendly and helpful. It’s a cool experience for those wanting a taste of the NZ countryside.
