The staff were very professional, kind, and friendly; they helped with my bags and never hesitated to ask if I needed anything. A shout‑out to the housekeeping lady for showing me how to use the microwave! The place is unique, comfortable, and cozy, and it’s budget‑friendly. I’d book here again in a heartbeat, except the bathroom was so tiny for someone of my size. The difficult staircase is manageable if you climb slowly and take breaks. The bathroom! No matter how much I tried to push water to the floor drain, moisture kept getting trapped in the nooks and crannies of the uneven silicone sealing on the bathroom floor, and it caused a distinct smell.

The subject: a serious formal complaint about accommodation that does not match the advertised listing to the management and customer service. I am deeply dissatisfied with my stay at Arab Boutique Hotel in Alexandria and request that you handle this matter seriously, because the issue for me is not just the quality of the hotel, but fundamentally the trust I place when choosing accommodations. As a client, I may not have prior knowledge of the hotel or apartment I book, and I cannot know the true nature of the place from its name alone. I rely on the platform’s images, information, and reviews. That is exactly what happened to me. I booked two nights in Cairo at Talat Harb Hotel for about 30 Jordanian dinars, roughly 43 dollars, and my experience there was excellent, the place clean, beautiful, and organized to the point that I personally found it comparable to a four‑star hotel in terms of cleanliness and overall impression. Based on that experience and the trust I had in the platform, I booked two nights in Alexandria at Arab Boutique through your platform, with a price of about 57 dollars for two nights, meaning I paid more than for Cairo, yet the level of the place I found upon arrival was completely different. That was the shock. Upon arrival, we found a place with no sign or clear identification card outside bearing the hotel’s name to help guests confirm they were at the right location. We also found a level of cleanliness and maintenance that did not match the impression given by the platform, including: a clear damp smell in parts of the place; obvious poor cleanliness in some areas and corridors; the staircase leading to the fourth floor in poor condition in terms of cleanliness and maintenance; no elevator, with us being told the elevator was not operational because the building owner refused to run it; no luggage handling service, forcing us to carry our bags to the fourth floor via the stairs; no adequate main lighting in the room, relying only on limited overhead lights; a bathroom that was very small and uncomfortable beyond what a client could expect from the advertisement.

Everything was just perfect from the location (5 minutes from Alexandria Bibliotheca) to the rooms. The room was not small at all and had a wardrobe, two tables, a private toilet, and a huge mirror. The toilet was very, very clean and always had toilet paper and hand wash. The staff were very friendly and kind. It was a totally nice experience.

I stayed there and there was no air conditioning, and it was really noisy.
