This hotel is fantastic, I definitely recommend it! My stay was very successful. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and professional. A major plus is the convenient location and peaceful vibe. Everything matched the description and was top‑level. I’ll gladly return. Highly recommended!
The breakfast is very good – a solid start for hiking up Schneekoppe and the surroundings. The location is quiet. The price‑value ratio is lacking. The bed was a disaster: a wall‑mounted bed with a poor innerspring mattress. Note that the spa features (sauna and hot tub) cost extra, though that’s clearly stated.
Being close to nature and having tasty breakfasts are positives. The lack of privacy is an issue – for the ground‑floor apartment anyone can see you, and the hammock is visible; a divider would help on the terrace part of the apartment, the curtains need a full replacement. The deluxe apartment’s “sauna and jacuzzi” is actually just a regular tub with hydro‑massage, not a real jacuzzi, and it’s rather small. The indoor pool water is in terrible condition and needs a full change. The parking and the small stones on the ground are unfortunately not a good idea.

The forest setting is beautiful, and the layout of the grounds and integration of the buildings into nature is superb. The pools are small but clean. Breakfast is very good. The apartment sauna was a great convenience. The property’s area is smaller than the photos suggest.
I recommend it because the apartment is well equipped, the breakfast is delicious, and the staff are courteous and kind. The many spa attractions in the forest feel like a luxury among trees! On the downside, there’s no assigned parking for the apartment and you have to pay for street parking on the side of the road.
