Top Notch Motel

The place was quiet. The country view out the back door was lovely, and the grocery store was a short walk away. The room had a small fridge and microwave, and the electric fireplace was handy on the second night when it was pretty cold. The large bed was so big that both of us slept in it and it was comfortable all night. There were down quilts, six pillows, and a TV, but no movie channels; we used our tablet for hockey games. The breakfast was amazing. We stayed five nights and will definitely return. The only downside was the lack of movie channels, but the free Wi‑Fi worked fine, even though we couldn’t cast.

“Overpriced for what was delivered and short on amenities and care.”

Shower was great and had hot water, nothing more. Quiet location. There was no boxed tissue in the room. Used their single ply toilet paper instead. Had an available fireplace which we would have used at night but non-functionable. The remote for it didn't have any batteries installed so we couldn't turn it on. Didn't feel like bothering staff at 11:00 pm. Facecloths were very thin, could see through them. Soap & shampoo made in China. Restaurant only open from 8am to 2pm. Doesn't help you when you arrive at 5:00 pm and leave at 7:00 am

“Great one-night stay on a budget”

The bedding and towels were clean, and the room overall looked recently renovated. The location is great, right along the highway, and check‑in and check‑out were easy. The breakfast at the restaurant was a highlight. The room had a slight odor, but airing it out helped.

“Wouldn’t do again”

The cleanliness and the bed mattress were very sub‑standard.

“On line presence is from better times. It has been let go badly.”

There was no staff at all. I had to call to check in at 5 pm and the condition was poor.
