I spent two nights in a private room that was clean, simple, and very basic. The couple running the place were kind and welcoming, and their son was lovely; they even cut up a mango I bought and made tea for me. The main problem was the lack of Wi‑Fi, even though the listing promised it – I needed it for work meetings, so they offered their phone hotspot, but I was worried about speed and ended up working from a coworking space the first day. The second night I used the hotspot for a few hours and it worked fine, which I appreciated. Hot water was spotty: I got warm water once during the day, probably from solar heating, but most of the time there was none, especially at night, so I wouldn’t count on it. Power outlets were scarce – only one plug – so I had to change rooms just to charge my devices. The bathroom was shared, though it felt private while I was there. There was no AC, only a fan, no breakfast, and it’s about a 10–12 minute walk to the beach. Overall, this place is okay for a very basic stay if you don’t need Wi‑Fi or reliable hot water. The hosts are genuinely kind, but the listing should be updated so guests know exactly what to expect.

The best thing I found there was how easygoing the people were. All the facilities were in average condition, and this place can also be recommended for tourists because it showcases the great hospitality of Sri Lanka. I have no negative comments or compliments for this place.
