The resort sits behind striking rock formations, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The on‑site restaurant offered very good food, with super‑tasty, healthy, local meals, and for those who need western options there were chips and similar items; alcohol prices were very reasonable. The accommodation was fairly basic and had a few maintenance issues, such as a shower head that does not stay attached to the wall, and there was no door separating the main room from the bathroom. You have to rent a car to get to the place, and then again to move around the island.

The place was calm, with a large room, a comfortable bed, and a hot shower. The restaurant was good, and there was a small cove right in front of it. A shop stocked everything you could need, and there were car rentals available. I didn’t try the breakfast because the departures were very early. The garden needs a bit of cleaning because there were some scattered litter, and the restaurant is quite pricey.

The room and bed were comfortable, and the shower worked well. The beach was just over the road and it was easy to reach the beautiful southern part of the island with the hire car we arranged through the hotel. Dining and the pool area were nice. The staff were not very helpful or friendly. Meals were generally adequate, though the steak was the thinnest we have ever seen, and they were quite expensive – perhaps not surprising for an island in already pricey New Caledonia.

The location right by the sea and the typical setting were great, yet the property lacked a small outdoor terrace with a table and chairs.
