“Schöne Lage, aber enttäuschender Umgang mit einem ernsten Vorfall”

The safari tent was cozy and the quiet location was lovely. Coffee and tea were plentiful. Amsterdam can be reached by a great bike tour. The promised breakfast didn’t live up to our expectations, as only a single basic set of toast, cheese and sausage was provided for the whole stay. A particularly negative incident happened the penultimate day: while my companion was showering, a phone was shoved through the shower enclosure. We reported this immediately to the operators. According to them, the outdoor cameras couldn’t help clarify the incident because they weren’t working. We don’t know who was responsible and we don’t want to blame anyone. We were disappointed by the operators’ response. Given the situation, we had expected a quicker reaction and more support. Because of this experience, we left early.

The location is a cool tent. Breakfast was basic but fine. It was really cold, and on bad weather you basically can’t heat it. The mattress was fairly dirty. You hear flyers passing by almost all day.

“Safaritent”

They welcomed us warmly, set up comfy beds and fresh towels, and the breakfast and coffee were plenty; everything was clean and they even put a candle on the table and a blanket on the veranda. The location is right next to Schiphol’s start runway, so the noise from take‑offs is constant, and the private bathroom listed on the site turned out to be shared.
