The host was very kind. Even though it was my first time, the place felt nostalgic and had character. The view from the second‑floor window and the slow flow of time were amazing. I checked in late, so next time I’ll definitely start early to relax even more. Getting to the inn is a bit tricky, and since it’s a mountain road, it’s better to arrive before dark.

ホストの方が雨の中BBQのセッティングしてくれたりととても親切で良かった. 古民家だから仕方ないが、動線が悪いので行ったり来たりが大変。 たくさんキッチン家電を並べてくれているが、仕方がないけど１つだけ使うのでもタップのブレーカーがすぐ落ちて、元から付け直さないといけない。冷蔵庫も冷えてなかった💦 タオルが水を吸わない。 冷蔵庫前の床が凹んでいた。 ２階も密閉されていないのは開放感があっていいのかもしれないが、雨だったこともあり、湿気で屋根とか大丈夫かなと心配になった。 写真に騙された感がある

The old‑house lets you BBQ, and the bath and toilet are clean and reassuring. The openness of the second floor was surprising—felt like a secret base from childhood, exciting. In midsummer I worried it would be a bug nightmare, but there weren’t as many bugs as I expected, so I think some measures were taken. The owner handled the fire and checked the flame, which was reliable. The night sky was moving. Hanging in a hammock on the second floor, feeling the pleasant breeze, was priceless. I realized after a while that there was no TV or clock. Bringing a family who loves nature was a huge success! My mother was worried about bears the whole time, so the very open feel was a concern. There’s basically no lock, so I wondered if that’s appropriate for a place where people worry about that.

For anyone seeking tranquility, this place is perfect. We stayed only one night, but the vibe was just great. The host was incredibly kind. The only downside was that it was cloudy, so we couldn’t enjoy the view of Mount Fuji.

All the activities I wanted—hand‑held fireworks, a kids’ pool, BBQ—were available. The staff were very good, and the kids had a great time. The old‑house had a good atmosphere, offering something the hotel or camp didn’t. Since it’s a private rental, it’s especially recommended for families with young children.
