We checked in late after a long flight, exhausted, only to be jolted awake around 7 am by drilling and hammering. A gruff receptionist told us she wouldn’t address the noise and suggested we move to another room, which didn’t make sense since we were leaving in a few hours, and the clatter was heard throughout the hotel. Eventually we were shifted to a different building and granted an extra two‑hour stay, but we had to request that at reception. The sleep was ruined, and this happened in the middle of a tough journey. We couldn’t have breakfast in the new room because it lacked a mini‑kitchen, even though we had paid for it. We’re returning guests who’ve always been pleased with the rooms and service, yet this time we didn’t receive the basic service we paid for—namely a decent rest.

The location was convenient, the beds were comfortable, and the room was large. None.
