“really enjoyed the stay here. The room was so comfortable, sitting out on the little balcony in the morning was so peace”
The location was absolutely beautiful, with a shaded, restful area and was so close to a lot of shopping and various restaurants. Absolutely nothing there was less than beautiful.
“Right above the mystic Sedona creek to enjoy!”
I really liked the Sedona Creek that the inn overlooked, and there was a stairway down to a little park with benches and a BBQ by the creek. I might not have gone down to the creek if the nice lady at the desk hadn’t recommended it. You can even swim in the creek if you want, but there were so many shady trees that it was cool enough already. She also recommended hiking trails, one of which I hiked on. I had done a very long drive to Sedona and was exhausted. I couldn’t find the parking lot at first and it was very dark. There were no shoulders to pull over on the main road and many round‑abouts that I didn’t know which way to go on. But I eventually found the parking lot and got in. There were also a lot of fires in the area that closed many hiking trails and roads, including the 89A connecting Sedona and Flagstaff, so I had to take I‑17 to and from Sedona.
“Romantic inn but not service dog friendly.”
The inn property is immaculately maintained. The garden area next to the creek is a tranquil slice of heaven. I had a queen with a balcony that had a jacuzzi tub. I did not find either front desk clerk friendly; they both made me feel unwelcome because I had a service dog with me. I was told the hotel was not pet friendly even though the female clerk had her dog under her desk. Beside feeling judged and like an inconvenience to the staff, my room was warm; it was 111 degrees when I arrived. I turned the overhead fan on high. There is a swamp cooler in the room that was set to 65 degrees but did NOT cool the room to that temperature. The closet had an additional fan that I had on high. The room temperature was bearable but not comfortable.
The scenery was amazing.
The continental breakfast was great every morning, the location was fantastic, riverfront seating on campus, and the staff were very friendly, making for a great stay.
