The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the breakfast was excellent with beautiful grounds to wander around. Our room was spacious and comfortable, though travelers with a lot of luggage should be aware of several flights of stairs. Overall, it was a charming, cozy place that suited our family perfectly.

The location is ideal for those who enjoy the countryside and seek peace, with the castle about 1.5 km from the village. The vast estate covers over 170 hectares and includes ruins of a 13th‑century castle; the guest rooms are set in former outbuildings. Guests can swim, walk the three trails on the property, or have breakfast on the terrace overlooking the horses, all of which is very pleasant. The castle is near Langeais, Azay‑le‑Rideau, Ussé, and Villandry. The owners and staff are warm and friendly, everything is clean and well organized, the room is beautiful and comfortable, and the bedding is good quality. The breakfast is very well stocked.

Staying in this historic castle was a unique experience for us. From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly welcomed by the lovely owner, which made us feel special right away. It’s the perfect spot for anyone looking to escape the bustle, value silence, and recharge amid beautiful nature. The rooms and interiors were extremely spacious and comfortable, leaving a strong impression. The grounds offer a vast area around the estate, a wonderful garden, picturesque paths ideal for short or long walks or morning jogging, plus horses and surrounding greenery. An extra highlight was the chance to tour the nearby castle ruins. The large, well‑maintained pool with pleasantly warm water was ideal for relaxing after exploring. Breakfasts were tasty, hearty, and served outdoors with a view of the horses—a huge plus and a great start to the day. You can truly feel special and fully relaxed here. We highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the Loire.
