Breakfast was very good, the staff were excellent, and the room cleaners were very obliging and friendly—10/10. My only suggestion is to include a hot water jug or kettle for instant coffee and tea, plus small coffee and tea sachets with cups in the rooms, especially in the premium rooms.

We enjoyed the ship outside our window, the view, and the Miami‑esque neighborhood. The location is very easy to reach if you have a ferry to take to HK.

The front desk staff were helpful, and the public area—a glass‑walled space overlooking Shenzhen Bay—offered nice views and work‑friendly tables and chairs. The biggest plus was the few large commercial washers and dryers, which saved me from constantly changing clothes in Shenzhen’s humid heat. The restaurant, laundry, and guest‑room zones are on separate floors, a smart layout that prevents sleep disturbances, and the bed was spacious and comfortable. On the downside, soundproofing was weak; I was woken in the middle of the night by a Cantonese‑speaking man and couldn’t tell whether he was in a room or the hallway, so I stayed in bed too tired to confront him. The interior rooms are fully enclosed “room‑within‑a‑room” units—fine for a night or two but uncomfortable for longer stays. The indoor space feels cramped despite the many pieces of furniture and built‑in cabinets, and the dominant dark colour scheme makes it feel cluttered; a simpler design would be better. The pillows were too high, breakfast was mediocre and carb‑heavy, and the bathroom was too narrow.

I found the location fairly convenient, especially arriving by ferry, but it feels a bit far from shopping and food spots.
