“Дом в Батуми, куда хочется возвращаться”
We’ve been coming to Nino and Usup for the second year now; we met this wonderful couple last fall and now the sea holiday in Batumi is only better in their welcoming home. The house sits on the outskirts, yet a 10‑minute walk gets you to the best pebble beach with black sand. We tried the city beach in Batumi and disliked it because of stones and the difficulty of entering and exiting the sea. If you want to stroll around town, buses #6,8,10,10a take you to the funicular, where a beautiful promenade and park area begin. A 15‑minute bus ride on #8 reaches the city market where you can try and buy wine/chacha, spices, fruits/veggies, churchelu, etc. Nino’s hearty homemade breakfasts are superb, and in free evenings the hosts invite you for coffee and a chat in a cozy setting. It’s unimaginable that anything about the hosts—Nino and Usup—could be disliked!
