The value for money was good, but because the rooms weren't cleaned every day, it was only suitable for short stays.

The central spot and proximity to a bus stop made getting around a breeze, and the steampunk‑style design with Sherlock Holmes nods was charming; free coffee, tea, and water were available in the lobby and bikes could be borrowed. However, on the first night the air conditioner made noise even when off, apparently because some ventilation system kept running, and strong cigarette smoke drifted into my room despite the no‑smoking rule—likely coming from the “smoking corner” outside the building and being pulled in through the ventilation that couldn't be turned off. Overall, it was a very unpleasant night, but after I reported it, the system was fixed the next day and everything was fine afterward.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was spacious, modern, and clean.

The detective vibe was cool, even the paper boxes were disguised as books, which was pretty unique, but the parking fee was too high—paying 330 yuan for a single night—and I would suggest offering a discount for guests to improve overall satisfaction.
