We arrived late afternoon and left early morning, the room was perfectly comfortable and clean for a one night stay. The courtyard photos are all of the restaurant, which was closed when we stayed, so we had no access to this garden terrace. There is a roof top cafe, with views over the city, but no terrace attached to the bedroom. Overall, the description and photographs are deceptive. The medina totally closes at night, so walking around is a bit eerie , and we had to go outside the walls to find dinner

The riad was authentic and very welcoming. The bathroom doors were made of transparent glass and the location inside the medina was deserted at night and chaotic during the day.

“Hôtel bien placé dans la Médina de Sfax”

The hotel was good and ideally located in the heart of Sfax’s medina; the rooms were pleasant and the location was perfect for exploring the old town. However, the payment experience was very bad: the hotel refused credit cards citing network problems, even though the Wi‑Fi worked fine and we all had 4G or 5G connections, including on the terrace. It seemed the hotel preferred cash. Because of the refusal, I lost almost two hours going to the bank to make a bank transfer to settle the bill. I then asked for a commercial gesture to compensate, but the hotel declined. Be careful: if you book this place, plan an alternative payment method or get written confirmation that card payments will be accepted before you arrive.
