The room had a mildew smell, the shower was dirty, and people were shouting all night.

“We couldn’t get out fast enough.”

It wasn’t really what we’d call downtown. Nothing was within walking distance, it seemed to be in a rough area. I wouldn’t stay there alone as a single woman.

“Location is what you pay for!”

The location matches the price. Our door wouldn’t lock and we didn’t notice until morning. Fortunately no one tried to enter; you could literally push it open. I mentioned it to staff, they apologized and offered to send someone, but we were already checking out.
