The place turned out to be a hidden garden spot that felt more like a friend's house than a hotel. Klaus and the front‑desk staff welcomed us right away, treating us like guests of the owner, and everything—from the room to the breakfast, dinner, and common areas—was spot on. The only thing to keep in mind is that dinner is a made‑to‑order service, so don’t expect a full menu, but otherwise I can’t think of anything that bothered me.

A lovely spot just a short stroll from the sea, and we got our breakfast exactly when we asked for it. The host was incredibly friendly, making the whole experience feel relaxed and pleasant.

The hostel is comfortable and Klaus is a great guide, offering tips on things to do around Chaitén and beyond. Each morning we woke up to a handmade breakfast and the evenings featured his tasty home‑cooked dinners, which made us feel right at home, though the rooms could be a bit chilly.
