We loved the relaxed feel of Nimmu House, lying in the hammocks under the apple and apricot trees, taking a yoga class or exploring the area. If we were being really picky, the water pressure in the shower could be a little better but that was really minor and not unexpected given the property

A truly special, extraordinary place with maximum tranquility, spacious and beautiful rooms, stunning food, and an overall feeling that wraps around you, making you want to let go of everything and just relax.

Nimmu House is a historic building that has been lovingly restored. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, featuring a very cozy bed and a superb bathroom, which is a real plus when traveling in Ladakh. The food, whether dinner or breakfast, is delicately prepared and delicious. We chose Nimmu House at the end of a Zanskar loop before heading to the Nubra Valley, and it felt far nicer than returning to Leh.

The place near Leh is a real gem. Vikram and Indrani were flawless hosts, and every amenity—food, lodging, tour arrangements, driver services, massages, or just chilling by the stream—was superb. The staff were very friendly, making us feel like family. After landing in Leh, I suffered a severe headache and AMS symptoms that night, but Vikram’s reassurance that it would pass and the nearby hospital gave me comfort. He even brought an SPO2 monitor and an oxygen cylinder, which really helped. By the next morning I was 100% back to normal, and the rest of the trip to Nimmu House and across Ladakh was spectacular. I can’t thank the hosts enough for their amazing hospitality.
