We could reach the property by bus. Water was free during our stay, and we were given free snacks like chips. The bathroom was clean, the landlord was very helpful, and ordering food was possible. The balcony was nice. There was no oven (it was broken), no space in the wardrobe for clothes, no air conditioning, and no blinds.

The kitchen was well stocked, you could reheat food. The apartment’s equipment isn’t the newest, but it was clean: dishes, glasses, kettle, microwave, gas stove, fridge. They greeted us with mineral water, croissants for breakfast, coffee. Internet works flawlessly, TV too. No air conditioning, just a fan. There are two bathrooms. We were there for 5 days and most of the time nobody was around. The host was friendly and helpful, speaks only Italian. We had a room with a balcony. For that price it’s a good deal. It’s a bit far from the old town, center, train station, and beaches. You need to take a bus; a 1.5‑hour ticket costs 1.8 €; walking is over 2 km. Reggio di Calabria outside the center isn’t clean, which can be a bit scary. There aren’t many markets nearby, mostly bars, pizzerias and other services.

I stayed in a room that was dirty, suffocating hot, stinky, with old furniture, filthy and smelly sheets in the wardrobe, three beds of different heights even though it was a double + 1, a clearly broken bed in the middle, stained duvet covers. And above all, it stank.
