This is a nice hotel with old‑world charm, spacious rooms and a good restaurant, and the staff are friendly. The building sits in a beautiful spot where you can step straight into the woods for a nice walk. The hot weather made the lack of air‑conditioning a real issue; the room felt stuffy and the AC was missing.

The staff were friendly, but this is definitely not a 4‑star place – the hotel looks very dated and needs major refurbishment. The food was subpar, there was no reception open at night, the pool was cold, and the housekeeping left something to be desired, especially with the carpet.

Nothing to enjoy about this stay. We were deeply disappointed: the Wi‑Fi never worked, and when we asked the front desk for help they were unhelpful and didn’t even apologise. The mattresses were cheap foam and the pillows offered no comfort, and there were no slippers in the room – when we asked for a pair we were charged €3. Paying for basic slippers is unheard of and unacceptable. I would not recommend this hotel.
