“Very convenient location and excellent hotel.”
Central location, comfy beds and a great meal in the dining room. Rear parking was a benefit. The shower was great. Everything was good.

The Old Stocks Inn, a recently refurbished 17th‑century coaching inn, sits in Stow‑on‑the‑Wold’s historic green, overlooking original penal stocks. Family‑run, it offers en‑suite rooms, two restaurants, a welcoming bar, and a terraced patio garden for al fresco dining. Located just 2 mi from The Slaughters and 4 mi from Bourton on the Water, it blends heritage charm with modern comfort.

Very poor reception when we arrived, no real welcome. We also felt tricked by the breakfast; we asked for continental and were told it was £10 and shown the appropriate table but were then charged for the coffee and juice without being told that they were extras. Outrageous when we had paid £355 for the room for one night—poor value.
