Gila House

The bungalows are stunning and the pool area is lovely. The staff are excellent and supplied everything we needed, from ice to plasters. The location is great, easy to reach all points on the island and walk from the port. I’m not sure if it’s strictly adults‑only since there were kids in the pool during the day. Some construction noise from the next door property, but that’s outside the hotel’s control. We didn’t enjoy breakfast much on either day; even with pre‑ordering it was slow. It might help to offer pastries or something quicker and fresher. The coffee was lovely, though.

“Nice spot”

The vibe is relaxed and cool, the staff are helpful, and I received a cold flannel when I arrived. The only downside was the noise from workers next door.

This cabin‑style hotel is charming and offers plenty of privacy. The pool is very nice, and the bed is extremely comfortable, complete with a mosquito net, which is very handy. The staff are friendly and breakfast is excellent. The only drawback is the poor impression left by insects crushed on the walls by previous guests; a bit more cleaning and basic wall maintenance would prevent that bad first impression as soon as you enter the room.

“Comfortable, good location, good breakfast and great staff”

Breakfast was excellent, the staff met our needs and even prepared a vegan option for me; teas, coffees and juices were also nice. Adhy welcomed us warmly, offered great Warung and activity suggestions, and kept a smile on his face—he really represents Gila House well. The only downside was the shortage of sunbeds.
