“Overall pleasing”
The location is excellent, but there was no hot water in the shower—just lukewarm, and the room needs some TLC.
“Staff were extremely helpful. Food was good. Beer was good”
The location is good, but the shower was a problem.
“Great central spot for exploring Dorchester.”
The central location, friendly staff, clean rooms, practical layout, and good breakfast were all positives, though the rooms are a little basic, they still offer good value.
“Overall good value, though with a bit more thought and attention this property could be very good.”
The location is good, and this is our second time staying at The Junction. The breakfast is okay; a menu with more choices would be better than the waitress offering only cereal or a full English, especially since my wife doesn’t eat pork. The guest shouldn’t have to negotiate a different breakfast. We stayed in room 5, which needs a deep clean; both the carpet and the bathroom floor were dirty, and the bathroom mirror was splattered with toothpaste. Parking is very tight, and I think spaces should be allocated per room. Few amenities were available: only hand soap and shower gel. Herbal tea and decaffeinated coffee would make a difference, as would a box of tissues, new coat hangers, and more of them; the old ones are bent and sticky. We didn’t see a cleaner near our room during our 2‑day stay.
The hotel is clean and the staff were very hospitable, and it’s very close to the town centre. Nothing else to add.
