The noise was relentless all day, even after I complained directly to staff, and nothing changed, making the stay very uncomfortable. The food was poor; we were told it wouldn’t be spicy, yet it was, and it didn’t suit everyone on the boat. A few days before check‑in we were asked for dietary requirements, but no extra fees were mentioned. On arrival we were asked to pay an additional 2500 Indian rupees for food on the spot, which hadn’t been communicated beforehand, and we also paid an extra 1000 Indian rupees for a fish dish from an external vendor that wasn’t included. The pillow was stained, the bathroom was dirty, and the boat overall was unclean. The boat didn’t match the pictures; the listing claimed “Deluxe Houseboat,” but the accommodation didn’t feel deluxe. We barely saw the river, and the constant noise made the experience far from what we expected. When we sought help, the boat manager was unavailable for two hours (we only learned later they were on break, which was fine but no one told any guests). During that time, the only workers present couldn’t speak English and couldn’t help us. When the manager finally returned, we explained our concerns and decided to leave, but instead of fixing the problem, they showed us several rooms despite our polite refusal and clear request to leave.
