Everything was incredible!!
“Ein Genuss für alle Sinne!”
Breakfast offered a wide variety of options, and the terrace view was paradise. In the afternoon, they served homemade cakes, a wonderful service that we really enjoyed. We have nothing to complain about.
“Fyn, relaxt, maar te duur voor wat je krygt.”
The garden is very pretty and accessible to guests, the staff is friendly, the location is great, and the pool is clean. The breakfast is extensive. However, the rooms smell like pets, with a musty air that also clings to towels and linens. The attic rooms have a mobile AC that makes so much noise that it can’t be turned on at night, so it stays hot. The room tries to bring a castle vibe, which is nice, but the bathroom feels outdated. The breakfast is diverse, but the healthy portions are tiny.
“Wir waren glücklich und haben uns sehr gut erholt!”
We loved the host family, the wine tasting led by son Moritz, the fantastic breakfast with the staff, the infinity pool, and the dreamy location. The only downside was the bike garage across the street, which smelled extremely moldy—unpleasant for a mold‑allergic person, likely because of the PVC floor; a stone floor might help. The rooms in the castle are nice but a bit dated compared to the entrance and the great breakfast area.
“Das beste und schönste Hotel mitten in den Weinbergen!”
The staff were very friendly and professional, and the hosts were truly special. They baked cakes and pastries for a superb breakfast on the balconies right in nature. The location in the vineyards on Algunder Waalweg offers the best view, and there are great restaurants nearby. We also enjoyed a wine walk and a tasting of their own wines. We’ll definitely come back.
