“The hotel itself was nice but the location made things very difficult to enjoy city and beaches.”
The room was large and well kept, and I liked having a balcony. The property sits on a hill, so you need to rent a car or take a taxi to get to and from the hotel, making it hard to reach places like Sarandë downtown and the beaches.
“Very clean and modern interior with a beautiful view over the city”
The place was very clean and had a modern design.
The staff were charming and the view was magnificent, but the restaurant was noisy yet the food was good. Getting there was extremely difficult; the address isn’t suitable for motorcycle friends, and the road to the hotel is perilous in dry weather and probably dangerous when it rains.
“Prima maar wat ons betreft de prijs niet helemaal waard”
We had a room with sea view. The bed slept wonderfully. The blackout curtains were good. The bathroom was spacious by Albanian standards. Breakfast was fine. The road to get there is quite steep; a small car makes it a real challenge, especially with oncoming traffic. There was some mold in the bathroom here and there. The toilet brush was very dirty and apparently never cleaned. Free warm drinks are offered, but only tea and coffee from a pot; at breakfast you can get up to one cappuccino per person for free, otherwise you have to pay. The pools were quite small, just fine for a quick cool down. What was rather odd was that about 30 minutes after we entered the room, the receptionist suddenly came in with her own key to “check” the room, even though she had just checked us in. We did not leave any valuables in the room.
“The hotel is the mountain top and away from hustles and bustles of town which makes it”
The view from my balcony was scenic, letting me see all of Saranda, but the location feels isolated.
