When we arrived, we felt ripped off—every photo was AI, the property was perched miles up a mountain, and the dad who met us had already taken a hefty upfront payment. The garden fence was missing, so I couldn’t let my dogs roam, and the door had no lock. The terrace was a death trap; you could have fallen through or off the edge. Upstairs looked like a dormitory, and the bedding had never been cleaned. I cried because we’d traveled so far, and we barely made it to the next stop, a lovely couple, by midnight exhausted. I want a full refund from Booking; these folks are scamming. I felt robbed, and they might have even taken the tires off a nearby Mercedes. It was Bear country in Romania—disgusting. These people should be removed. I want my money back. The TV was broken, the place was filthy, and the banisters and railings were crumbling, making the stairs dangerous. All the cutlery was disgusting. The old man looked like a horror film character and spoke no English. I was let down by another property; the guy said we couldn’t bring our dogs because he had fighting dogs, then emailed us the next day saying we could come now for free. I lost about £1000.

The hot tub, cozy beds, and pool table were great, but the hot tub wasn’t ready and the kitchen knives were bad.

The host was kind, the house had a fireplace, the hot tub was warm, and it was easy to get to. I didn’t receive an invoice.
