The staff were very polite, the rooms were clean, and the food was good. Nothing else to add.
“Not again”
The room was clean, but there was no window, the location was bad, and the rooms felt suffocating.
“I think I have said everything in the above answer”
The staff tried to help and were polite throughout our stay, even with a big language barrier. Unfortunately, we were disappointed overall. Communication was hard because none of the staff spoke English, making even simple requests tough. The hotel didn’t serve good coffee, so we left early each morning to find a Starbucks for a decent cup, which isn’t ideal while on holiday. The location felt run‑down and unpleasant, making it uncomfortable to spend time around. As first‑time visitors to the city, we felt misled by the recommendation and think future guests should be clearly informed about the location and facilities before booking.
The location is great and the staff are friendly, and the service is excellent.
“Worst experience we have had in years of using booking.com”
This booking turned out to be a disaster, the worst experience we’ve had. We booked weeks ahead, and one week before arrival we got an email asking for full payment, which we paid. Then we received a barrage of long, automated emails with terms and conditions, no personal messages, no confirmation of our payment. We drove in the evening after an eight‑hour train trip, only to be told by the front desk that the hotel wasn’t registered to host foreigners. After confusing phone calls, FabHotel Customer Service told us we had been “upgraded” to another FabHotel, giving us an address but no transport. We had to take three different taxis to find the hotel, which is poorly signposted on the street. The place was “deluxe” but had odd fittings, like a mechanical blind that opened during a shower and exposed anyone in the bedroom. We won’t stay at FabHotel again, and we urge them to make sure listed hotels accept foreigners.
