“Mehr Schein als Sein”
The location is right in nature, with the scent of forest and meadow, heavenly quiet at night, and the waiters are very attentive and friendly. The Bakelitschalter looks like an optical gag but doesn’t add to comfort; the room offers almost no storage, neither in the bedroom nor in the bathroom, where there’s only a chair and the window looks out onto an old glass container. The bathroom lacks a towel rack, which is doubly annoying because towels weren’t changed. The room service only emptied the trash and made the bed; used glasses weren’t replaced. The advertised pool is only four metres long, the swimming pond is negligible. In the outdoor area, small decorative elements are distracting, and right in front of the restaurant’s outdoor spaces are car parking spots. The last unpleasant surprise was the bill, when egg dishes were charged even though no menu had indicated this, absolutely incomprehensible for the price level.
Everything was perfect; the staff and owners focus a lot on even the smallest details, and I loved it.
The service was above standard with a friendly approach to guests. The kitchen was exceptional, preparing dishes before guests even looked at them, and the tasting with a view was a unique experience. The exclusive drink selection, including mixed specials, was impressive. The accommodation was comfortable and focused on privacy. I would suggest expanding the Nordbeans coffee range to include more exclusive types and at least one alternative preparation method.
Breakfast was flawless and the staff were wonderfully and naturally kind, but not intrusive.
Great food, excellent ingredients, and the staff were extremely helpful. The place is exceptional, offering a story for both relaxation and active rest.
