The location was good. Nothing else.
“Terrible”
I’ve been staying here for over a month. Every morning I book the room, ask the front desk staff if they can block it for me, and during the day I pay through Booking. When the room no longer shows up as available on Booking, because I had it blocked, I pay with a credit card upon arrival. This happened 100 % of the time. The front desk operates on a shift system with five staff members. Four of them are always perfect: polite, professional, and efficient. However, there is one staff member who, about once a week, despite confirming that they had blocked the room for me, fails to do so on the third attempt. They don’t inform me, even though they have my phone number, and when I return to the property they simply tell me I no longer have my room. That means at 18:00 I have to look for emergency accommodation. One mistake could be an error or an isolated case, but three times is not a case. It’s a lack of professionalism and respect for the guest. It’s unacceptable to treat a person who has been staying at the property for over a month and who always follows the agreed procedure with the front desk in this way. I honestly don’t understand how such an inefficient, unprofessional person who fails to keep what they confirm to a guest can continue to perform front‑desk duties.
“Fair”
The staff were nice and helpful, and I also met a couple of great people. However, there were bugs in a particular room until it was decommissioned (I had PTSD and felt sore all over), no cooker or gas in the kitchen to cook anything, the electric kettle wasn’t working, and it took forever to fix anything that broke.
They pickpocket a lot in that hostel. My towel was stolen. They force you to sign an undertaking, not telling you that you’re liable for any loss in their premises.
They took my money and told me to leave for no reason, and I didn’t get that back. They treated me very unprofessionally.
