The hotel’s originality stood out, the pub‑style food was amazing, especially the fantastic dessert and cake selection; my ensuite was roomy with a spa bath, the breakfast area was set up in a unique style, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The large balcony that all rooms opened onto could use a bit of upkeep and a small upgrade.

I loved how the place sits right in the heart of town, within walking distance to everything, and the fact that it’s above a pub made it easy to grab dinner and drinks downstairs. Nothing else to complain about.

Location within the town. Dirty sheets room 3 and dusty room. Broken coffee machine for continental breakfast very full rubbish bin in breakfast dinning room. Rats in the roof space at night
