“Perfect peaceful getaway!”
The rustic lodging is charming with a stunning view of the Grampians, and it’s very quiet and relaxing. The host is friendly and there are farm dogs, plus the bed is very comfortable. It’s a short drive to Dunkeld and the Grampians for plenty of hikes, and the sunrises are breathtaking. A perfect spot to sit and soak in the serenity.
It was very comfortable and private.
“Lovely Historic getaway”
The Kiln building is gorgeous, the location is great, and the hosts are lovely. It’s a quiet, peaceful escape with excellent cafés a short drive away. The bed felt a bit firm but still comfortable enough.
“Amazing view, restful and quiet.”
The place is quiet and offers a stunning view of Mt Sturgeon near Dunkeld, great for stargazing—I even saw the Milky Way. I appreciated the cozy conversion of a tobacco kiln and the well‑stocked kitchen, plus the warm welcome from the farm sheep dogs. However, the attached bathroom and toilet are hard to use at my age, and I didn't enjoy having to go outside at night for the bathroom in the cold.
“Beautiful, peaceful and rustic”
The accommodation was beautiful, peaceful, and rustic, ideal for a quiet break. Karen had everything covered, and the complimentary doughnuts were a nice touch. Nothing was wrong—just remember it's a rural spot, so a few bugs are expected, and the loft bedroom is reached by a narrow staircase.
