The house offered for 2 adults and 2 children was very good, clean, spacious, and well arranged. The pool was large and well maintained. The entrance to the residence requires caution, watch out for insects, and there is no air conditioning in the offered accommodation.

The house sits in a great spot for those driving, with plenty of supermarkets nearby. I was lucky to book the unit right in front of the pool, so it was literally across the street from the water. The wind blew grass and weeds around the pool, and there was also some vegetation floating in the water, so it clearly needed a clean‑up. When we arrived, the fridge wasn’t working, but the host took care of it and let us stay longer without extra charge—her response was flawless.

The interior of the house was spacious and well‑furnished; we stayed at Casa da Cocheira. The outdoor areas, however, were a bit shabby, with old and abandoned plastic tables and chairs. The landscaping was neglected and the abandoned sheds were left to rot. With a little effort and care, everything could be improved.

The pool was a highlight. The major drawback was the proximity to the busy national road, which is heavily trafficked day and night; exiting the site in a tight turn with no visibility poses a serious road‑accident risk. The rooms lacked windows and the equipment was outdated—definitely a rental to avoid.

The renovation of the house was excellent, making the living area very comfortable. The property is large, tastefully decorated, and the pool is deep with gradual steps, perfect for those with limited mobility. Sofia’s attentiveness and availability were five‑star. I had hoped for more usable outdoor space. The pool area was swarming with flies, making it hard to relax or read. The outdoor dining area was uninviting, the window screens needed replacement, and we found bugs inside the house despite being in the countryside.
