The spot, the sea, and the staff were all fine. The room was old, the toilet was outdated, the shower head was yellow, the toilet floor wasn’t clean, the water pressure was weak, the toilet had an unpleasant odor, and the power flickered because the keycard was inserted wrong side‑up, yet the staff didn’t warn us which way to insert it.

The central location and beach‑front pool make it easy to get around, and breakfast was pretty good. The staff were enthusiastic. However, paying by card incurred a 3.5% fee, which feels unreasonable for a 4‑star resort; a wider range of free‑of‑charge card options would be better.

I liked the staff and the location. As a solo traveler, I was disappointed that my balcony had no lock; they offered to change rooms but every one felt the same. I was woken twice the next day when I was exhausted and wanted to sleep until 8 am.

This family‑run hotel punches way above its weight, squeezed between big 5‑star resorts on a premium beach strip, giving a superb infinity pool and a 5‑star beach at moderate 3‑star prices. The rooms are spacious, very clean, and feature large bathrooms with his‑and‑hers sinks—essential for families. Breakfast, while adequate, was only “just ok”: fresh farm yogurt, seasonal fruit, toast and baguette, an omelette station, and a good range of Asian dishes such as fo, sticky rice, and dumplings, plus great coffee and watermelon juice. The restaurant’s sea view is out of this world. Breakfast runs from 7 to 9:30, but people linger long after and the staff don’t mind. The best part of our holiday was staying in the off‑season; most of the week the pool and beach were almost ours, only getting busier on the weekend with Vietnamese tourists who keep to themselves and never feel crowded. It rained a couple of times for about 10 minutes in the evening, otherwise it was sunny and hot. Many guests complain about noise from the top‑floor bar, so visit in the low season when it’s closed; it was dead quiet in July. If you want to party, come in high season for cocktail parties, disco nights, and happy hours right on site. The surrounding area is lively with shops, restaurants, and massage parlours, and flooded with Russian tourists, yet surprisingly few stay inside the hotel. Summer is kite‑surfing season, so you see hundreds of them in the sea, which is pretty and entertaining even if you’re not into beach sports. All in all, an incredible holiday. The only downside is that the “superior” rooms—cheapest despite the name—don’t have balconies, a fact not clearly stated on the booking page, which makes you feel boxed in. We were moved to a different room after a couple of days, and it made a world of difference. If a balcony is essential, pay a bit more for a room that clearly states it has one; you won’t regret it.
