“Good but could be better for disabled visitors”
The meals were tasty and the staff were welcoming and helpful. The spot is fantastic. However, the disability room (no 6) felt crowded and poorly designed; the bed and chairs were low, making it hard for me on sticks to exit them. Even though the wet room was nicely equipped, the screen was too small, so water sprayed across the floor around the toilet, requiring me to clean and dry it before using the toilet while clothed. The spa rooms and treatments were excellent, but a pool, jacuzzi, or steam room would have been nice. Disabled access through the back was usually shut, forcing me to go around the front or call in. A key‑card reader on the door would improve things.
“Lovely first stay in beautiful Saltburn”
The location was excellent. The room was large and comfortable. All staff were pleasant and friendly. Dinner in the restaurant was good at a reasonable price and drinks very reasonably priced and lovely on the outside terrace, overlooking the sea in the sunshine!. We booked a sea view and the view from the room was lovely, however, you couldn't simply sit and admire the view due to the privacy film on the bottom half of the windows (which I appreciate is needed), maybe I just need to be taller! But this certainly wouldn't put us off returning or booking a sea view room again
“It was great for the amber room facilities. Loved the masssges. My room wasn’t worth the price I pai”
The staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was okay. Service was good and the location was great. I would have liked a window. The wardrobe couldn’t open fully because a cupboard was too close. There was a smell coming from the plug hole in the bathroom, and overall the bathroom was smelly. I also had problems with the shower fitment.
The hotel is friendly and has a superb location overlooking the beach. The staff were lovely and did everything possible to help. The food was great with a good variety to choose from. It’s only 5 minutes from Saltburn’s centre.
“Friendly hotel helpful staff lovely views , exceptional outdoor terrace”
The location offers great views from the outdoor terrace, and the staff and room were good. I thought £255 for one night with no breakfast and no dinner was quite a lot, but I understand the location probably justifies the price.
