The room felt like the seventies—no modern phone charging points, just an old vibe. The balcony was a bright spot, but the lack of an elevator was a real inconvenience. Still, overall it was a 7.

We stayed at Riviera Resorts and Suites in a queen room with a balcony that was surprisingly roomy for a small family or couple. The space felt open and comfortable, and the balcony—larger than we expected—had a table and four chairs, perfect for relaxing. The kitchen area was handy, with a small table, two extra chairs, and bright lighting that made it feel welcoming. The resort’s location was a huge plus, close to the boardwalk and many restaurants, so walking to everything we wanted was easy. We had a great stay and would definitely come back. The only minor gripe was that the flat‑screen TV seemed a bit small for the room, but that didn’t ruin the experience.
