A calm and comfortable spot, though the water pressure was sometimes a bit weak.

I stayed at a genuinely lovely place with modern, spotless furnishings, and Netflix plus Disney+ were free to use. The pool was huge and very inviting, and the owner was friendly, spoke good English, and had a cute, slightly playful dog. The only downside was its location right in a residential area, which isn’t particularly special.

The property was clean. However, it was far from anything, and I booked for three nights but never actually stayed. When I booked, the listing didn’t mention that the owner kept a dog on the premises, and my partner is afraid of dogs, so we didn’t stay at all. I lost my money, and the owner said there was no refund, which was very disappointing. I don’t think I’ll use it again. They also didn’t disclose the full pitch, and the photos made the place look better than it is. Very disappointed!!

The accommodation had everything needed for a quiet stay, but if you’re unlucky enough to break something expensive (you’ll pay for it as new) or the dog breaks something valuable (the property dismisses any responsibility), it’s a problem. The owner takes a deposit as stated in the listing. On the first day we accidentally broke a pool float and it was deducted from the deposit, which was fine. On the third day, the owner’s dog broke a hat we left briefly in the common area when the dog wasn’t there. When we informed the owner, he said the dog isn’t his responsibility and that we must watch our belongings. It should be noted that the public listing did not mention the dog’s presence, nor were we told we had to keep everything (even shoes) in the room. We left with a very bad taste because the owner’s responses were that if you break something you pay, but if his dog breaks something he takes no responsibility. He even said we shouldn’t worry about paying more because the accommodation is cheap, apparently judged by French prices, not Thai ones.
