The hotel was pretty and modern, the lobby had loud music and a good vibe, and the staff were friendly. However, we found a live cockroach in the bathroom when we arrived, reported it right away at the lobby, and were given a different room on the top floor with a fantastic view as an upgrade, and the staff apologized many times. Besides the cockroach, we didn’t like having to pay $35 per night for parking, excluding tax.

I still love the hotel, but this was my second stay and the same room issues happened again. In my first year I stayed in a skyline king room, the floor was soaking wet and I had to change rooms three times over a few days to get the room I paid for. This year I arrived early, the room was ready but I didn’t want to pay the $35 early check‑in fee because I just needed to leave my bags. When I came back later to check in, I was told the room I booked was no longer available because the hotel was overbooked. We were given a room, but it was freezing—50 °F. Chris, who checked us in, was helpful and called maintenance; both came up and were told the room wasn’t suitable for sleeping and we had to change rooms. We changed rooms for the night, but trying to get the room I paid for again in the morning was a shame. The woman at the counter didn’t want to help and it seemed to be the same girl who couldn’t allocate the room we paid for when we arrived. The hotel is fantastic, Chris was great, the maintenance man was great, but a few staff members at reception were unhelpful. I will not return for a third year, no matter how much I like the hotel and the location.

The spot was good, but the free checkout extension was awful, parking cost $35 a night plus tax, there’s no restaurant and breakfast is just a small selection you order through Starbucks, nothing to carry luggage, overall it feels like a three‑star hotel.
