“Lovely charming hotel with great staff and great location”
Naftilos hotel is lovely, with a perfect location and sea‑facing rooms offering stunning Aegean views. The room was spacious, the air‑con worked well, and the balcony was large. Rooms were cleaned promptly every day. Breakfast was nice and sufficient. We dined at the restaurant on the first night and the food was good; the chicken souvlaki was perfect. The staff were helpful, especially Debbie, who went above and beyond—she assisted with breakfast for a day trip when we woke too early and missed the hotel’s breakfast. Reception always called taxis for us to Pythagerio in the evenings, which was convenient, and the taxis cost only €8. The pool was nice, and the hotel arranged a rental car from the nearby company. Plenty of on‑site parking. We were sad to leave. Naftilos has a relaxed, old‑fashioned simple feel that reminded me of perfect Greek holidays from my youth; it was very charming. The hotel is safe, has a mini‑bar, and plenty of hangers for clothes. We had a room with one of the older bathroom layouts. The shower worked fine, but the layout caused water to spill everywhere after a shower. Also, there was no hair conditioner in the shower room, which was odd since most hotels provide it; we just went out and bought some in Pythagerio.
