“Wunderschöne Unterkunft mitten in der Natur”

We especially liked the location right in the middle of nature. The lodge was very well equipped, the beds comfortable and the view simply beautiful. The small pool was a nice addition. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We found the breakfast, delivered each morning in a basket, particularly sweet, and the little birthday surprise for my husband was a very special touch that we appreciated. The on‑site shop was very practical for buying drinks and cooking or grilling supplies. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place at any time. The only drawback was a slightly musty smell in the bathroom, and there are a few mosquitoes due to the natural setting, but the hotel can’t do anything about that.

It was simply wonderful. The huts of the farm are a bit off the road; our hut had a balcony with a fireplace corner, a reading nook and a dining table. Depending on the weather it’s wise to bring warmer clothes. Each bedroom had its own bathroom and the kitchen was between them. On the property, at the highest point of the farm, there is a small pool and a sunset seating area. There’s a small shop where you can buy essentials (water, beer, wine, chips, etc.) and grill supplies for a barbecue right at the hut. Because the location is a bit outside the nearest town, I would definitely recommend ordering the delicious dinner from the farm, which is packed in the fridge and you just heat it in the oven. The best part is that the next morning a good fairy comes and washes and tidies up all the kitchen items, and breakfast is delivered straight to the hut. Fresh fruit, eggs, baguette, jam, and more. Just beware, the monkeys almost stole our breakfast that morning. There’s also a herb garden where you can pick and brew your own tea, and there are horses, goats, rabbits, turtles… We stayed three nights at this fantastic accommodation and were simply thrilled by the friendliness, the options and everything else available. You’re 2 minutes from the 7‑colored earth, 10 minutes from the Rhumerie Chamarel, or about 25 minutes from Le Morne or the Black River Gorges NP. The breakfast was very tasty and fine for three days, but for a longer stay, more variety would definitely be useful.

“Traumhafter Aufenthalt in Chamarel”

We stayed in one of the most remarkable places we’ve ever visited! The setting is incredible, situated on an 80‑hectare eco‑farm. The cottages are huge, with a well‑furnished kitchen, a great terrace featuring a fireplace and a grill—wood and charcoal were already on hand. Breakfast was delivered to the cottage (baguette, eggs, butter, cheese, jam, honey, muesli, yogurt, and a pot of juice). It was delicious and the portion was more than enough. We pre‑ordered dinner, which arrived in the fridge upon arrival for us to reheat. That dinner was also fantastic, with such a generous portion that we could eat it again on the second night. There’s a small kiosk where you can buy drinks, basic groceries, even frozen grill meat and various gratins. The property offers several well‑marked hiking trails and a small pool with a sensational view. The highlight, however, was the farm tour with Jean‑François! He showed us the farm and the animals and explained a lot. It was truly wonderful, and we want to thank Jean‑François warmly for this amazing experience! All the other staff on the farm were incredibly friendly. If you’re coming to Mauritius, you simply must stay on the farm for pure nature and relaxation. Nearby are the Geopark of Seven‑Colored Earth and the Chamarel Rum Factory, both just a few minutes away. We wholeheartedly recommend the farm and would book a longer stay next time.

“Einfach super”

Perfect for exploring Chamarel, the Black River National Park, and the southwest of the island. You can even walk to the Seven‑Colored Earth. The farm has lovely trails right on the property. The view from our cabana is superb. The atmosphere is great, coffee and tea are free everywhere, and the small kiosk always has the essentials! The Palm Heart Gratin was delicious. Aside from mosquitoes, we loved it there.
