One of the best affordable hostels in Pokhara, right near Lake Street 7, accessible to everything and every travel destination. The staff are so friendly and loving, very helpful. I’ve been staying for the past two weeks and it’s been a very good experience. I recommend everyone to check this out, especially if you’re a budget backpacker – I definitely recommend this place. Happy journey, traveller.

The owners recommended activities to do – welcoming and friendly – suitable for solo travellers or small groups. I didn’t get to enjoy the bar, but it looks like a good spot to chill and chat. Our bathtub had a crack that may be a problem with larger humans.

I loved it the first time—great vibe—but on my second visit in the dorm a rat was gnawing on everything you left. The people were as always the best, yet that rat really got me.

Over the past six weeks of hopping in and out of Pokhara, Gaurishankar has been the ultimate spot to unwind between treks; everything is well organized, the staff are super friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the private rooms are very comfortable for a very fair price. The hostel dogs, Leo and Khali, are adorable too—highly recommend it for anyone spending time in Pokhara.
