How guests rate the property, aspect by aspect.
The property was well kept with welcoming staff and very comfortable, immaculately clean rooms. Food was excellent in the evening and at breakfast, and I’ll return. Everything was good; if I were picky, the TV could use an upgrade for streaming apps, and a Nespresso machine would be nice.

The location, building, and decor were lovely, and breakfast was very good. It would have been nice to have a bar menu in the evening; otherwise, the dining options were fine but not something we wanted every night, so we had to find other places to eat, which was a shame.

The place sits in a great spot and the staff were friendly yet professional, nothing else to note.

We enjoyed breakfast, especially my favorite porridge, while Chris liked his scrambled eggs and smoked salmon; the only thing missing was our cream tea, which over the many years of our stay with you was our treat. The very heavy duvet was too warm, but our girl kindly gave us a sheet for the second night, and we slept better with it; apart from this all was good as always.

A charming old pub hotel, but the many stairs make it unsuitable for people with a handicap.
