The campsite felt truly luxurious; we didn’t expect such space. Everything outside the dome—garden furniture, outdoor kitchen, self‑service shop, and more—added to the comfort. The hot tub was too pricey, so we didn’t book it.

We had a fantastic night here even though there were no stars. The wood burner was a delight, and the globe was well stocked and comfortable. The private garden and BBQ facilities were lovely. We had expected a private bathroom as mentioned in our booking email, but Globe 1 doesn’t have one. There was also no hot water for washing dishes, and the showers dribbled cold water, which was disappointing. We paid a lot, so we expected a bit better.

The location was quiet and the pod offered fantastic views. The road to the pod is very uneven and bumpy; I understand it’s a country lane, but the surface could be improved. The skylight on the pod was a bit dirty, though I appreciate how hard that can be to keep clean.

The room was clean and comfy, which was a big plus, but we did have some issues with the shower and hot water. When the second person took a shower, the water would stop and wouldn't work again, which was a bit frustrating. Overall, it was an okay stay, but could've been better with some tweaks to the plumbing.

We loved the location - the views of Wheatley Windmill were amazing and the Gurkha Palace restaurant was just a short walk away. Our little shelter next to the hut was a nice spot to relax with a cup of tea. The bed was really comfy too. However, the log burner, while looking cozy, didn't quite put out enough heat, which was a bit of a letdown.
