BB Metropolitan is an absolute gem in Naples, a true home away from home. From the moment I saw the photos and description, I was convinced it was the right choice, and my intuition proved correct. The stay felt safe, warm, and welcoming; arriving felt like stepping back in time with the vintage elevator, highlighting the rich history of the area. My room was a cozy sanctuary with blue curtains and blankets—my favorite colors—and it fit everything I needed. I thought I’d have a balcony, but I got a window instead, which turned out just as cute and offered amazing views of sunsets, sunrises, and rainy days. The shower was amazing, with hot water that was a lifesaver after walking around the city, and the shower gel smelled like childhood perfume. Breakfast was served daily at a different charming café nearby, with delicious coffee and fresh croissants. The location is super close to the station, making it quick to get from the airport and catch early trains to Rome. Communication was seamless and all instructions were clear. The staff and everyone in the building were kind and welcoming; I even had a minor scare when I left souvenirs behind, but they were safely waiting in front of the hotel. Naples’ vibrant energy reminded me of Cairo, making me love the city even more. I’ll definitely recommend BB Metropolitan to family and friends and can’t wait to return. The only improvement needed is a shampoo holder in the shower.

The spot was perfect for trips to Pompeii, Sorrento and Positano, thanks to the nearby metro and train stations. Breakfast at various local cafés was entertaining and let us soak up the local vibe; the room surpassed our expectations. Some reviews warn about the neighborhood at night, but we felt safe even after dark, especially with visible military patrols around Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi. However, four air‑conditioning units on our balcony took up a lot of space and made the balcony less comfortable.

“Da migliorare”

I chose this B&B, but for what I paid it’s not worth it. After paying, I was asked for a tourist tax and various other fees. Then I went in, and the first thing I noticed was that there was no single bottle of water in the fridge, the internet was very slow, the bathroom smelled like sewage, and in the morning I had to wash with cold water because hot water wouldn’t come out. The location is also a problem.

“Ancora una volta non si è smentito”

It was another great B&B; we had stayed here a few years ago and it didn’t disappoint our first impression. Cleanliness and the staff’s friendliness were the foundation of our experience. The proximity to the station is a big advantage. Even though the building looks rundown, it has a concierge service, and inside the B&B everything is modern. The idea of using a code to open the room doors on the handle is fabulous. Breakfast can be accessed via a QR code that gives you a list of partner cafés; if you want coffee, they provide a pod machine, and the rooms still have a kettle. I would return again. Walls are patched and the bathroom sink is small, but these are minor issues that could be improved with a bit of maintenance and revision.

The location is just a two‑minute walk from the station, which is very convenient for leaving. The main building feels cramped when descending, the elevator is super tiny, and there’s no kitchen in the shared apartment.
