The room and bathroom were clean, the manager (owner) was very pleasant, and breakfast was good. It rained that night and when we woke up in the yurts our belongings near the door were soaked. The owner was quite understanding and sincerely apologized, but the staff at reception who first replied by message did not apologize at all. We asked for a solution to avoid leaving with everything wet; they found nothing. We requested to stay longer to dry our stuff, and they granted an extra hour, which wasn’t enough, but otherwise the accommodation was nice.
Peaceful atmosphere. Nothing was completely ideal for rest.
“Freezing cold welcome and tent outside of town with zero amenities. Nothing glam about this place.”
The surrounding scenery is nice. The Bolivian serving staff were lovely. The bed was comfortable. The welcome was terrible with the host immediately demanding payment in USD via PayPal. There are a lot of rules—more like a hostel—such as no refilling water bottles, only glasses. The accommodation is absolutely freezing—no heater, literally like staying in a fridge. Breakfast is very basic. It’s not good value for money for what you get. There’s nothing to do there except stay in your freezing tent, so you’re forced to go on a tour or into San Pedro. Choose a hotel in San Pedro instead. I cannot recommend this place to anyone.
“magical”
Great service, and I loved everything.
The place is gorgeous; the yurts were awesome, the setting is spectacular right in the middle of the desert near San Pedro, and the stargazing tour with telescope and photo shoot under the stars was amazing. The staff were very friendly and breakfast was simple yet unique and freshly made.
