“Location and customer service”
Great location and great staff. The AC did not work well.
“Потрясающе расположение!”
Amazing location! A cute, cozy balcony in the room that overlooks a lively square, with a very nice view of the neighboring colonial buildings. There are plenty of restaurants nearby. The venues close at 11 pm, so there's no noise at night. The room has everything needed: air conditioning, TV, fridge.
“Ein authentisches kolumbianisches Erlebnis”
The hotel's attempt to create an authentic atmosphere fell flat, with issues like broken windows, exposed electrical outlets, and lukewarm water in the shower. The daily struggle to get clean towels was also a frustrating experience.
“It was okay.”
Good location. The infrastructure of the hotel (room door handle)
“Tolle lebendige Lage. Einfach, sauber, sicher, freundlich, angenehm.”
The spot is great, right in a lively, colorful area where you can grab Arepas and other local treats, plus a grocery store and nicer restaurants nearby. The whole old town is walkable. The hotel is tiny – I counted four rooms – so you get to know everyone on staff. It’s safe, and the staff were helpful without being pushy. The AC and a fan worked well. The furnishings are simple and a bit worn, but clean. A few hinges could be tightened. It’s not completely quiet, but that’s normal in Colombia. I needed earplugs for the first few nights, then not anymore. There’s no hot water – which is standard in basic hotels and private homes in Cartagena, and you don’t really need it.
