It’s an old Tibetan house that offers an authentic experience. Rose is a perfect host, always ready to help with anything. We felt very comfortable. The room even has oxygen, which is important at that altitude. The location is excellent, right in the old town.

The staff gave us a warm welcome, the location is right in the middle of everything, and the breakfast was solid and tasty. Nothing else really stood out, but it was all good.

The building has a lot of character and sits in a perfect spot, and Rose was an absolute star—knowledgeable, friendly and always ready to help. We didn’t run into any issues at all.

Staying here felt like stepping into a Nepali tea house—cozy décor, friendly owner Rose who spoke excellent English and even sorted a last‑minute trip to Tiger Leaping Gorge. Breakfast was served on a plate with toast, jam, egg, ham, veggies, banana and coffee or tea, and it was delicious. I’d definitely recommend it to anyone heading this way.

The guesthouse is decked out in Tibetan style right in the heart of the old town, and the owner is incredibly welcoming. Honestly, everything was spot on.
