The bed was comfy and the room suited me, but late‑night street vendors with booming speakers blasted loud music, which made it hard to sleep.

Nothing positive; I was deeply disappointed by the Alaskan Hotel and Bar management team—after an early check‑out they wouldn’t email an invoice I needed for business, the room and property were in poor condition, there was no elevator and no luggage assistance, making it especially inconvenient for travelers with bags. Having stayed at several Juneau hotels, this was the worst experience, and I would not recommend it, especially if you need an invoice or have heavy luggage.

The location and historic vibe were great, and the bartender and staff were excellent, but the room smelled old, the bed was uncomfortable, and the shower curtain was too short, letting water spill over into the bathroom.

The location had a funky charm, but renting a room with a kitchenette yet no utensils—no plastic glass in the bathroom—and having to climb many stairs was frustrating.

The room was great and the area was great, but the kitchenette setup was a problem.
